This month Cara featured in Cheshire Life Magazine which featured 8 of the finest minds in Cheshire when it comes to women in the home, property and design business.

What’s special about your business?
The Little Paper Shop is particularly unique in that we’re not just another wedding stationer or traditional design studio – our illustration skills and original thought process offer so much more to our clients. We’re not just a stationery and gift boutique – but also an innovative environment where our customers can come and learn all manner of creative pursuits.

We encompass all these things; carving a niche for ourselves as a unique space where our customers can come and soak up all things creative and where we can pretty much meet any and all requests when it comes for innovative design, illustration and printing. Oh, and you can buy some pretty fabulous stationery and paper-based goods while you’re visiting also!

What’s your best piece of business advice?
A lesson I’ve learnt as a business owner – and one I wished I knew earlier – is to value your time just as much as income.
When you’re first starting out and trying to do ‘all the things’, it can be hard to prioritise freeing up your time at more expense when finances are tight.

But placing focus on this by putting the right team, systems and support in place, ultimately gives you your time back to focus on growing and scaling the business, from a better headspace – which of course impacts your bottom line!

What do you love about your job?
The variety!
We’re very lucky as a design studio to work with many fellow creative types to create innovative business branding and design concepts that really are unique.

When it comes to our wedding and event stationery work, there’s not really another industry in which you can have so much fun within your design work – I absolutely love the creative freedom and briefs we get to collaborate on with our couples.

And of course, it’s endlessly inspiring working within such a creative environment itself! The design-led products we sell within the store are crafted by some of the world’s most original design studios, and you can’t help but be motivated by that.”

I love our Paper Fans thanks for following us on our journey.
